LOCKDOWN: PALLIATIVE TO OSOGBO RESIDENTS

To cushion the effect of the partial stay-at-home order occasioned by Covid-19 global pandemic most especially during this Ramadan period in Osun, Aremo Adegboyega Lateef Adelabu distributed food items to residents of Osogbo, the Osun State Capital.

According to reports made available to IBILE NEWS on Saturday in Osogbo, Aremo donated food items such as rice and beans to the vulnerable and the needy in a door to door food distribution in some part of the State Capital.

According to reports, the philanthropic gesture of the grassroots politician was aimed at extending helping hands to the vulnerable and the needy to complement the good efforts of Governor Gboyega Oyetola at this trying time in the state and for releasing those vehicles/motorcycles sized during lockdown.

While speaking with our correspondent on a telephone interview, Aremo who is the Director General of a political group propagating Governor Oyetola’s good legacies ‘GIOMANIA’ said that this is not the first time he would be reaching out to the people within his reach most especially the aged and needy in his own capacity, urging the people of Osun to continue adhere strictly and ensure full compliance with the government directives over the deathly virus called Covid-19.

In his words, “This distribution of food items is expected to alleviate the suffering of the people as a result of the Ramadan season with partial sit-at-home directives to curb COVID-19 spread and designed to touch most of the residents of the state capital.

“We may not be able to reach everyone, but we are trying our best within our capacity to support the visionary Governor Gboyega Oyetola and for releasing those vehicles/motorcycles sized during lockdown,” Aremo said
